Why over 40 & What inspired this project?

As a woman in my 40’s & a portrait photographer specializing in women’s portraiture. I have found that as women we wear so many hats throughout our lives prioritizing everyone else's needs first & keeping ourselves last. I have seen that it's only when women enter their 40's, 50's or over they realize that they have lost connection with their true inner self & the image they have in mind of themselves no longer matches with who they see in their own photos. This results in them feeling not good enough in their own skin & it becomes even stronger when they see women in their 40's, 50's, 60's, 70's or over not represented enough in the media.

I am on a Mission to change this perception of women of not feeling good enough about themselves in their own skin. I want to photograph every woman in the world who wants to reconnect with herself, the woman who looks at portraits of herself & thinks she is not photogenic. The woman who says she’ll get her picture taken when she loses a few pounds, the mom who looks through family albums & sees herself missing because she has been avoiding the camera. I’m on a mission to help all women exist in portraits. 

I want women to Love, Celebrate, Rediscover & Reconnect with themselves through their glamorous portraits, making them feel Beautiful, Confident and Empowered to say to themselves & to the world, 
I am Beautiful Now! I am Good Enough Now!
